here is the last sat[may 3] soccer repot (:
When Kuda informed Fadly that he has quit soccer, the Woodbridge manager was worried that the team has no keeper but he soon realised that he has players who could fit in just as good, if not better.
The team thrashed its opponent 6-1 last Saturday at Serangoon Secondary School.
But Fadly was lucky that Stingers game was a walkover, otherwise he would have to play with eight men, as Mail and Wang were late.
The reinforcement from Stingers’ camp saw eleven players coming to his rescue.
Hadi volunteered to play keeper and did a fine job wearing the gloves. Only one goal was scored in the first half, through Joe, who managed to beat the defense before lobbing the ball over the keeper. Leman and
Rongan wasted their chances while Xiao Di’s two shots fit for rugby.
It was all hell broke lose in the second half with Willie running riot, terrorizing the defense after Fadly played him striker to partner Ramlan. The Stingers defender scored two good goals but missed one open goal opportunity. Even Wang, who played left back was seen many times ventured forward.
The other three goals were scored by
Rongan, Andi and Maya.
But misjudgment by Hadi allowed a cross from the winger to sail into his net to give the opponent the consolation goal.
