Stingers end MIT winning run

It was the unlucky 13 which struck MIT last Friday night at the Hougang Ave 9 field when the Stingers whipped MIT 13-0.

It was probably the first night game played this year by the Stingers and night fixture could be arranged on a more regular basis after good response by the Stingers.

The very sporting MIT were proud of their five match winning streak, and they showed true sportsmanship by speaking to the Stingers before the game and snapping a picture of the Stingers.

MIT were torn apart in the first-half, with goals from Anthony, Joe, Hadi, Rongan and Ion's brace put the Stingers six goals ahead into the break.

Despite down by half a dozen goals, MIT never gave up and they tried to break the stubborn Stingers defence.

Further goals by Hadi, Rongan, Ion, Hashim and Jason's hat-trick inflicted MIT's worst defeat of the season and ended their 'five wins out of five' record in Hougang.
